Center of Attention

Today I would like to talk about something that bugs me a lot. And that is when my momma is not paying attention to me!

Lately, she’s been bringing work home with her. I don’t care that she is a student and that is just what is required, but she should be paying attention to ME when she gets home, not working on homework! She’s lucky enough that I let her leave me during the day as it is! But sometimes a kitten needs a little time by himself…

So, since my momma brings her work home with her, I have to do my best to avert her attention back to me. Trust me, it’s not easy…

I started learning how to divert attention when I was really young....

...and got better at it as I grew older.

Usually, if I just put my face in her way she gets the hint

But sometimes it takes more extreme physical measures.

Her papers actually aren't too uncomfortable to lay on.

And sometimes I can do two jobs at once, such as laying on top of homework AND sitting in front of the space heater!

Again, sometimes physical measure are needed to get her attention, such as her not being able use her hand...

What does this stuff say, anyway?

Ha! there's the attention I crave!

As you can see, my job has been a difficult one, and it seems that she’s not learning anything, so I have to keep doing it. Maybe one day she’ll get the message that I am the center of attention when she gets home, not this silly thing called homework!
